Ume is a band from Austin, TX. The name came from casual conversation with a friend who had an interest in Japan. Ume is the japanese name of a plum blossom. It is not an acronym, although we have capitalized it in the past simply because it looked good. This weblog is simply to help keep in touch and see what we are doing.
